Brent started his career in journalism writing reviews and features for PC World. That lead him to Gizmodo where for more than three years he served as Gizmodo’s lead writer on mobile devices (smartphones, tablets, wearables), health & fitness, action cameras, alcohol, and outdoor gear. His work also appears in Wired, Men’s Journal, Outside Magazine, Men’s Health, Maxim, Fast Company, The Daily Beast, Deadspin, The Wirecutter, Backpacker, and more. He has reported from NASA, CES, SXSW, Google, Amazon, San Quentin Prison, Samsung, Motorola, iRobot, the X Games, and many more.
Brent has also written web shows for CBS and Titan TV, as well as his own independently-produced web series, 50 Characters in 50 Weeks. He cut his teeth writing for theatre and sketch comedy and gravitates toward realistic dialogue. Brent is a graduate of the MFA acting program at the National Theatre Conservatory and studied improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) in New York and Los Angeles.
